Convention Banner Stands

If you're used to displaying large-format graphics, banner stands are both lightweight and portable and are used for a large variety of display purposes. Sizes of banner stands vary depending on their intended use.

Generally, when banner stands are assembled, they are slightly taller than the average person. This however, can be altered, and much larger banner stands are available for those who want a larger visual impact in both height and width.

The three most common types of banner stands on the market today are the retractable banner stand, the tension based banner stand and the telescopic pole banner stand.

The retractable banner stands (left), are generally one of the most popular, which consists of a stand in which your graphic is stored on a spring loaded cartridge in the unit's base. It simply pulls up and attaches to a pole which is also stored in the base during transit. Retractable banner stands are found in single and double-sided units, depending on personal preference and how the graphics are to be displayed. While most retractable banner stands hold non-interchangeable graphics, there are a few  brands such as Quickscreen 2 with interchangeable graphic cartridges, allowing you to swap out your graphics by replacing the removable cassette.

Tension-based banner stands (right) and telescopic banner stands are two other forms of banner stands also available on the market. The former refers to a banner stand that keeps the graphics firm between the top and bottom, sometimes using what is called an "x-frame." Telescopic banner stands are adjustable banner stands that can be altered according to the height for which they are desired. They are found in both standard and custom shapes.

Another type of banner stand is the scrolling banner stand (left), in which a high quality graphic is sewn as one continuous loop and connected to a scrolling bar. These offer an eye-catching indoor visual merchandising option with a continual graphic that scrolls vertically; perfect for multiple messages or images. They are offered in both a floor stand and a hanging banner for versatility. Definitely a head turner!
